Behavioural Advertising and Privacy
The advertising and privacy team are researching practical policy measures that would improve privacy rights online. A particular focus of their work is placed on the business model of most digital services, with discussion exploring how we can improve consumer privacy outcomes without causing significant damage to the digital economy.
Project Team
Lloyd Arnold (Lead)
Lloyd (they/them) graduated top of their year from Oxford, with a masters in Computer Science and Philosophy. Their thesis was on privacy and consent in online space, an issue they have continued to work on through involvement with CTRL + ALT + RECLAIM and People vs. Big Tech. They now work in the climate tech sector.
Juna Hong
Juna is a member of the Digital Services Research Team, currently pursuing a degree in International Social and Public Policy at the London School of Economics. Her academic interests focus on AI hyperscalers and technology governance. Juna also works as a sales associate at an AI technology firm and is involved in developing a clothing brand.
